Parts interchangeability

Tried searching for a previous thread that listed other cars that used the same components as the original Cobras, i.e. taillights, etc. Could someone post a link to that thread again.

Thanks for the help.

You'll never find it; the thread is buried deep in the bowels of Club Cobra.:JEKYLHYDE

I've got a few more additions to my original list, I should update and repost it. Any other additions or corrections from anyone??

Thanks guys. That's the thread I had found with my search yesterday. I just seem to remember a more extensive thread occurring a few years back.

Of course I "seem" to remember a lot of things these days.

Thanks again.

What else do you need info on?

Was just curious as to origin of most of the parts. Bearings, ball joints, electrical things like that. European car companies make very few of there own parts. When I had my 67 Alfa I used to get a lot of parts from other sources (brakes, pistons, valves, virtually the whole electric system).

It was a kit car from the git go. A bunch of hot rodders putting together what was available and worked. Bearings I think were mostly Timkens, ball joints were AC specific.
