what's a sbf powered Shamrock cobra value

I've got a lead on one. from the few posts on this forum not too many are around. It also seams that they were not the best kit around. anyone got any feedback for me.

In South Africa before the advent of Superformance, Shamrock made a really great car . All Jag based with a little longer wheelbase, and used the Jag xj6 series 2 front end with the vented front discs. I built a coupqle of those and found them to be a pretty good car, Of course that also depends on who built it.

The last one had really nice Cleveland with nitrous, super fast, really top class Cobra, that should be worth as much as a good Era, but then any Cobra is worth what the buyer is willing to pay.

I'm not personally familiar with the Shamrock marque, as you are. I did google "Shamrock Cobra" and found a good bit of discussion about them as well as photos. A cursory look certainly doesn't suggest that a Shamrock would be "worth as much as a good era".

Agreed. A one-off example with a high dollar powertrain and all the fixin's that a particular buyer paid a certain price for to get what he wanted will not be an accurate estimator of the brand's value in the marketplace.

That would be like accepting Tin Man's +/- $125000.00 Superformance as an indicator that SPF's are worth what you'd pay for a good Kirkham or Shelby.

Looking at the Shamrock's non-original shape, details and wheelbase; as a brand it will never be worth the same as a "good" ERA in the Cobra replica marketplace.

To be clear I don't think that's what Chanmadd meant to imply. His qualifier: "but then any Cobra is worth what the buyer is willing to pay" , really is the absolute truth.
