When Your Wife Gets Soaked . . .

Here's what you do when your wife gets soaked and suggests it will never happen again. Do you sell your Cobra or do you do this? Installing top on Al's Cobra.

As Cobra tops go, this is a nice one, but I still prefer topless. But if it means keeping the Cobra or peace in the family . . .

Al . . . ?

My soft cover and the side curtains stay in their respective "bags" and won't ever see the light of day. If it weren't for hurting my resale value, I'd sell them yesterday.

My top and bows stay at home. I don't even know if the top fits anymore. Then again, it seldom rains here. I do keep a spare jacket in the trunk.

Tom - just wondering if you fit the side curtains? Did you fit them yourself? How much hassle are they?

Luke,

Can't answer you questions, but Jeff Collins at Whitby Motors can. Check out their web site. I can say their top is a nice piece.

I was told along time ago that if I got wet then I wasn't going to melt..... thanks mom. So I just tell the same thing to the wife when she goes out with me. I have a hardtop but don't use it until the fall gets here. If I get wet I get wet big deal:3DSMILE:

J.A. . . . and if she gets wet, BIG DEAL:rolleyes:

She doesn't go out when SHE thinks it is going to rain. I'll just drive faster Honey:LOL:   When we were coming back from the Pumpkin run outside of Cincy they were repairing the part where the road and overpass meet. Did see the concrete saw until its was too late to slow down and the car in front of me soaked the car with all that crap on my car. There are worse things than water!!!

I've found that I stay pretty dry in my Cobra, as long as I keep my speed up.:D

I have used my top several times, not in the rain but in the cold. It sure beats the frozen ear syndrome. It's really simple to put mine up, now that I've done it a couple of times. Word of advice, though--make sure the lift-a-dot posts are snugly screwed into the body; if they're loose the action of the wind on the the top could cause the paint to lift around them--

Ode to wifey...

Well....the only compromise I had to make, as it was the only thing the wife put her foot down on when I ordered the Cobra, was the soft top. Now keep in mind, that was when ordering the car.... I never said anything about actually using it...:D
