Roof bow and side curtain ferrules for glass car

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for a soft top and side curtain ferrules for these cars. It looks like a bracket off the door latch might be the trick for the top ferrules. I was thinking of threaded door ferrules with a little strap to rivet to the underneath of the top tube for some diagonal strength. Any good pictures or ideas?

I think the way to do it right is have a tube steel frame for the door with tubes welded to the frame for the ferrules to fit in. (like originals did) Then skin the frame with the fiberglass and put the ferrules through the fiberglass and into the tube on the frame. Makes a better look for the cockpit as well.
