csx7073 blog

We are starting a blog on the build of csx7073 which should be the first of the new 7000 series cars designed by Ross Henry. Jim Cowles of Shelby Parts and Restoration is heading up the engine, detailing work, and well...basically everything :).

I am trying to make it as "correct" as possible and duplicate csx2323 as it raced at Targa Florio in 1964. Its been a really fun project and I thought I could share some of the details here at the forum. Authentic 5 bolt 289 hipo, italian webers, aluminum T10L transmission, on and on....

The blog has just been started....we will try to get some of the engine details posted this week. The car should be to Shelby in Las Vegas hopfully next month. If you have any questions or comments please let me know...

I'm the one doing the blog. So far I'm still spending more time trying to get it to look and work the way I want then I am adding new content. Hopefully this screwing around wont last much longer.

Thats cool Kurt. What are you using for the powertrain? I know Jim is having some original parts replicated for mine....you might email him. Im sure he is having extras made.

Darren,

I’m looking forward to following your build as well. It’s apparent that we have similar taste because I’m also in the queue for one of Ross’s cars (MKII) and decided to replicate 2323. I’m estimating mine is just a few weeks behind your delivery date.

I think that’s pretty neat :3DSMILE:

Csx7070 & csx7073

Hello! I just found your post here...WOW another CSX7000 series in the KC metro area. I own CSX7070...she is located just north of downtown. I am currently building / finishing after a 3 year hold on the project. I would love to meet with you to discuss.
