I agree with you guys. I'm just busting on Hector, he knows I love him. I would have to have at least a top for "ironman" rides like that, trailer even better. I'm trying to avoid any more melanomas.

Tutosnake 11-26-2012 08:13 AM

Nick you know the feeling is mutual. Im not sold on a tonneau, because of all the drilling involved. Plus my first available money will go to your race screen:D (more drilling:CRY:)

Hey guys, I noted somewhere else here on CC that i am looking for an 18-20 ft enclosed trailer. If you hear something, let me know.

Cheerrs!

Hector

One easy way to go to is a snapless tonneau. No drilling, less expensive, easy to install. The only difference is that you can't drive with it. Otherwise, it's easier all around. Costs a bit over $200.

Phil and Kay Deal make them. You can tell them to use the same pattern they did for my car.

Hector agreed it's very difficult shooting holes in such a beautiful body, I thought you'd started down that slippery slope with the roll bar. Figure out your must haves and we'll make a plan.

Not necessarily. They sent me your pattern and it had to be modified to fit my car. They're all a little different.

Interesting. Maybe you're pickier than me or maybe that's due to small differences with HST and Hitech built cars. :)

How do I contact Phil and Kay?

I'll send it to you. Sounds like you might want to ask for Al's for the template.

Hector........there's a 18 foot enclosed trailer, Indigo Blue for sale on RaceJunk that's here in Dallas per the following link. I'm looking for a 20ft but I think a 18 ft still would be fine for a Cobra. Race Junk seems to be good site for used trailers. Everything I seem to find however is across the country ie; found a real nice 20ft in Troy Michigan..........

Doug, thank you. I contacted Phil and Kay, and we are working on my tonneau. BTW I saw a pic of yours on your car, and it looks great.

Great shot. Is your AP ( A-Production ) decal static cling or adhesive?? The number 13 looks like a 16" static cling like mine.

Tutosnake 12-04-2012 06:54 AM

Thanks!

The AP decal is adhesive vinyl ON static cling! I put them together.

The whole set up is a mixed:

The meatballs, Good Year, and Autolite are static cling.
The AP, Valvoline, Shell, STP, Ford, and Lucas are all adhesive vinyl on static cling. This means they are "regular" adhesive decals that I apply to a sheet of static cling and then trim.
I have been adding and subtracting decals to find a good look.

The problem with the vinyl-on-cling ones is that not all of them stay on. I've lost a few while driving. So I ended back to the store where I got the vinyl adhesive decals, and, as it turned out, you can order your decals in either adhesive vinyl OR static cling!! I was not aware of this at the beginning, so some money was wasted. Live and learn (and read the small print, for the company does mention this on their webpage, albeit in small letters).

It seems the easiest way of doing it is to buy the vinyl adhesive decals, put them on, and be done with it. This being my first car, i was weary of placing "permanent" adhesive decals on the paint. Plus even though I think my decals will stay on forever (I like the racing theme), I guess I do like the option of easily removing them ad lib.

Thanks Hector, I like the ability of taking them off and on. My wife is not a fan of them. I will stay with static cling. I have only lost one meatball on the road. It was my fault in not getting all the fine bubbles out. I have seen others do the adhesive on static process. Who did you purchase them from. I would like to find someone who offers them all in static cling.Internet co. ? Your look is super....I have only seen the Telelingua in adhesive form.
