I'm not a shocks expert but the quality of the Penskes is really, really nice. No stamped junk, that's for sure.
BTW, the pics of the Kirkham suspension are from the "billet" car. Those WON'T fit. But that car drives like a dream  |
The Hyperco springs used by Kirkham are also top shelf products and are used by many of the current F1 teams. Those guys use the very best, regardless of price and that speaks volumes to me about the Kirkham product selection process.

Try QA1 Adjustible shocks...they have different spring loads and have several adjustoble shock settengs. I have them on my car and they work great on the street as well as the track. Easy to adjust the settings.

I found QA1's tech support to be excellent, and they'll need to know installed ride height and weight for front and rear, as well as which ends are needed. I believe CSX cars use 12mm mounts, but QA1 would clearly need to know that. |
Cobra valley sells the QA-1 shocks and springs for CSX cars. $1198 for single adjustable shocks and springs. Set of four. http://performanceunlimited.com/cobr...cksprings.html
I put them on my SPF and love em. |

Shocks
I sold my triple Penske's and bought double adjustable JRi's. They are designed by Jeff Ryan who designed Penske's. He has made substantial improvements in the the JRi vs the Penske. The JRi has an adjuster the works directly on the valve stack which gives a huge adjustment range without requiring a revalve.
They can be adjusted to the point where the car is undriveable which can be a problem for some. My shocks can go from a 300# spring to a 1200# without taking them off the car. They are not for everybody but we really like them and rarely move them more than a few clicks either way now that they are dialed in. I have seen people put in too much rebound to the point that it jacks the car down till it is bouncing on the tires, that is a range of adjustment! I went with doubles because some of the engineers don't like the time delay associated with fluid travel time in the canister hose. Lots of people are using them now with more switching everyday. Shock prices: you generally get what you pay for. |
