I noticed this continuation car up for auction at Barrte-Jackson. LOT #685 - NO RESERVE 2003 BJCCA CCA Full Size OPTIONS COLOR - BLUE TRANS - 4 SPEED CYLINDERS - 8 ENGINE SIZE - 427 SC-427 ROADSTER, TOTALLY RESTORED. ORIGINAL 427 SIDE OILER ENGINE. AWESOME ! ***CONTINUATION CAR CANNOT BE TITLED OR REGISTERED IN STATE OF CALIFORNIA*** My question is this....If it cannot be licensed or titled in California, what about the other states? Mike |
It's a race car!
I believe that verbage is legally part of the settlement that arose over the nasty litigation with the State of California over the "completion" (not continuation) cars.
That exact wording has to appear on the MSO paperwork. I believe that CA. only recognizes the 'completion' cars as "race cars, not for street use" |
