I can have the CSX4308 converted to accept an automatic and a small V8 for your lovely wife.
We can even extend the pedals so she can reach them and you too wouldn't be hauled off to the police station AGAIN because she was sitting on your lap when the cops pulled you over. Remember that? TURK |
Turk,
It wasn't those loud side pipes that drew the cops attention, it was her screaming....or maybe it was me screaming as she was trying to learn to drive stick....don't EVEN go there!;) |
CSX 700? Your situation and how it will pan out is definately something I am keeping an eye on. I intend to really weigh out my options before I take a dip in this pool!! I do look forward to the POST that states, "It's ALIVE!!!!" I wish you a speedy resolution.

What exactly does "CAV" stand for??
|
Well thats not "exactly" an easy question to answer.
C(???) Advanced Vehicles Some say it's California, but the "plant" is in Capetown. The CAV headquarters web site does not say at all. "CAV" has been around since 1998. Some perspective on that? SAI has been making continuation Cobras since 1996. "CAV Holdings" also makes a VERY nice GT-40, that was their first project. The "marine" division makes inflatable boats (held in high regard by the way). Hmmm,,,,since they now have the "rights" to produce the Shelby Cobra do you think some will say the "C" in CAV stands for Carrol? One thing for sure, they are a highly rated company with an excellent track record and an impressive manufacturing facility. Ernie The REAL question though is this: WHO the heck are these people in Malta making a carbon fiber AC Cobra for SAI??? THEM I know NOTHING about! |
mr. dalton
i'm not sure what "cav" stands for but i have seen thier "gt 40" it is a perfect civilized creation of the original car. the build quality also seems to be very high with a lot of refinements added in. excaliber i'm not sure what the malta connection is, maybe "sai" has unearthed some forgotten cobra frames that were buried there??? i do know that the fiberglass cars are being made in south african and that the carbon bodies are made here in san diego (probably at a defunct aerospace company). if you opt for the carbon body the car is shipped from south africa without a body and then the carbon body is installed in the U.S.A. |
