Anyone putting a 351 in the 4000 series cars??

I am curious if everyone is going FE in these cars or has anyone broke away from the pack and gone 351?? If so, what are your thoughts on the decision?

David,

Don't have a Shelby, but struggled with the same decision as I was trying to decide SPF or ERA or then later glass Shelby (then I go buy a Kirkham that wasn't even on the list, go figure). Anyway, after looking at resales I notice ERAs and Shelbys almost never have small blocks and the one or two that came on the market struggled. Its hard to say because of the small numbers (but that was the best data I had), but it looked like the small block cars had to drop their asking prices down about $10K+ less than the big block car asking prices. That is about the difference between a really nice small block and a nice Shelby Block FE. To me, that makes it a no brainer. I get the cost back in value if I ever resale it and the car is more desirable.

The CSX4000 challenge cars have dry sump 351's in them, I think all of them.
