and it is again one year more since Ken Miles died at Riverside the 17th August 1966

I think this from AJ Baime's book:

Everyone should live their lives, and especially, their careers, this way. I've taken chances. Lost some, won more.

So long Ken, it was a good show.

I also am reminded of this yearly as 8/17 was my Dad's Birthday too.
