Actually, that serial number belongs to an independent 289 drag Cobra that was owned by Norman Gray. According to the SAAC Registry, "Gray hooked up with Joel Rosen of Motion Performance" back then, but the car pictured is Joel's own Cobra, serial number still unkown. When I last talked to Joel, he'd love to find out where his car is now. If anyone has any leads, please let me know.
Incidentally, the picture came off the shelbyford.com web site. I found the original print on eBay a few years ago. It's small, only 3 x 4" in size. See http://www.shelbyford.com/independents.html

I know the model your on about, as Ive seen it forsale at a few toy and model fairs
If you buy this model, you could add your own chassis No and call it a "Continuation Dragonsnake Cobra"...
You guys in the States are very lucky to have seen the Dragonsnake Cobra`s in the flesh

While Stormin' Norman did own CSX 2374 and did take it to Joel Rosen for tuning, that was NOT the gold Motion Performance drag car. Rosen bought his own Cobra to race and has said it was not the Norman Gray car, which is now owned by Carl Gross of NJ. Rosen says he sold the gold Cobra many years ago and has heard nothing of it since.

Hurricaneharold- is this the fake,.....Motion snake you're talking about ?
Is there any from Motion that are documented or is this ugly gold, the only fake from them ?
Is there any Dragon Snake die casts, that are a good true to scale Cobra ?

According to the latest copy of the Registry Motion Performance drag raced a 289 Cobra of there own, which I think is the car in the above attatchment, aswell as preparing a large number of cars for customers.

It appears that Ertl have copied the decals of the 289 Cobra and stuck them on the 427 Cobra,as ertl have not produced a 289 Cobra model.
