History Channel - Cobra
Anyone see the Cobra bit on the History Channel yesterday? Missed it due to that thing called work. Is it worth purchasing on tape from HC?

It is a good general overview of CS and what he has done over the years, nothing you probably haven't heard already but interesting to have around the house. By the time you pay sales tax and S&H it will be about $35 (I bought it about 6 mos ago).

I would say, no. it's not worth $24.99 + S&H. I recorded it and watched it last night.
There is about 15 minutes of "cobra" footage. The rest in on Carroll Shelby...Lot's about the GT-350, GT-40, and Daytona Coupe. They even talk about the Viper, Dodge Omni(shelby), etc.
I wish it was an hour on the "cobra"

I watched a program on Ferrari last weekend. They skipped righ over mentioning Shelby or Cobra. Must be a sore spot? They mentioned other competitors like Mercedes, Ford GT 40 etc.

I recorded it yesterday and watched it last night when I got home. My take was that I had either seen it before or they pieced it together from clips, interviews, etc that I had seen before in other shows.
Maybe I'm just getting old.

You're not getting old, it's been on several times over the last couple of years.

Blake is correct, they should have called the show "Shelby". More on him, and his cars then the Cobra. Save your $$$$

I jave not seen it yet but my wife did and recorded it. She said it covered the Cobra some but it was mostly about Carroll Shelby.

I watched the show last night on the TIVO. It was interesting to note that alot of the cars they showed on the clips were replicas including a white GT40 that looked like a replica to me (no expert). But probably half of the cobras shown weren't originals.
