New Road Racing Specials Book
If you're interested at all in cars like the Scarabs, Bocars, Echidnas, any of the other myriad of Devin-based racing cars, Listers, Ken Miles' pre-Cobra homebuilts, etc. etc. etc., Vintage Motorsport magazine has published a new book called "Road Racing Specials". It is actually a bound reprint of a ten-part series they did back in 1992, detailing the history of road racing specials in America. To this day, IMHO, it remains the most complete catalogue of those cars, many of which are long gone. I have never been able to find three of the VM back issues and I'm pretty jazzed that they will all be in one place. If these cars hold any fascination for you, you'll spend hours immersed in this book. It's something like 250 pages and has many, many photos.
It's available only through VM. The cost is not exactly cheap at $49.95 + s & h, but books on this subject are pretty few and far between. VM's website supposedly will have the book available for order sometime today (www.vintagemotorsport.com), but you can order it now at 1-800-626-9937 (I did:3DSMILE: ). Happy reading! Bob |
Thanks Bob
Going to call as soon as I get off computer.
