Rick,
Speaking of neat stuff, a Lotus Elan +2 was the image car I had at my disposal when heading the Pony Car design. I also had a Lambo Muira at my disposal. I made sure they both saw the Dearborn Proving Grounds road course a lot. You're correct about the strength of the Mustang convertible. As everyone--loosely speaking--knows, convertibles are typically weak in torsion and bending. But the additional structure added to the Mustang convertible made it the strongest production car built in the '60s in torsion at over 7,000 lb/degree. The absolute strongest at the time was the Mk IV GT40. A honeycomb, bonded monocoque structure gave it its strength. |
Mach 2C
Hi, I'm new to this forum. Was searching for info on the Mach 2C and found this thread. It's a few years old, but hopefully it'll pop up again by my posting to it. I have great interest in the Shonoda designed Mach 2C. Any information or photos anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time! |
Anyone? Anyone? Buehler? Buehler?
