That's like the hot wheels.
That's like the hot wheels version! But the front fiberglass parts the Agapiou's have look different. I was wondering specifically what a roadster body would have looked like. I assume a CanAm body would be a roadster.

The picture I found is a Mirage
I found out the gulf car I included above is a Mirage that was raced in 1975, probably with a cosworth.
Very interesting there is a cobra racing in the background don't you think!? Chuck |
Steve Sunshine:
The casual factor for the Ken Miles crash has never been fully determined. There is a lot of speculation but never a fully documented post mortem was ever done....."the Chief Engineer told me so.........and I don't argue with him......." |
J9

Here is a picture of J9 from Ronnie Spain's book "GT40" in which he indicates that it and J10 were turned over to Charlie and Kerry Agapiou. According to the bill of sale the price was $1.00.

J10

J10 was raced by Kerry and Charlie Aapiou in more than a dozen CanAm races (thus becoming the most raced J chassis by far) but with little success other than a 2nd place at Fuji in 1970 with John Cannon.
According to Kerry (and contrary to what is set forth in Ronnie Spain's book) the car, following the crash at Riverside, was taken back to their shop where the suspension, uprights and steering rack were removed. The damaged part of the tub from the front bulkhead forward was removed and repaired. The damaged portion of the tub was scrapped and left outside and subsequently taken by someone else. Jim |

Here is another picture of J10 a/k/a G7A at Riverside just before it crashed. This from Pete Lyons "Can-AM Photo History.

Also from Pete Lyons book, a picture of one of the many motors that Kerry and Charlie tried; a "Boss" Nascar 429 punched out to 494ci. Still not enough to catch the McLaren M8B and M8D with 465ci and up aluminium Chevys.
