New book by Scalzo will have Shelby in it
Doug Stokes e-mailed out some pages of a new book by Joe Scalzo
that will have Shelby in it, as well as Mickey Thompson, Gurney, etc. Scalzo wrote City of Speed and besides being an expert on Indy cars he writes in an amusing way, with lots of nicknames. He calls Shelby "Chicken Plucker" in the book and calls Gurney "Prez" Don't know title, publisher, when it will be out, price, all I know is that I read part of the Mickey Thompson section and it's fun to read. So this is a heads-up many months in advance....check your bookstores periodically. |
