Shell Valley Steering Column

I purchased a column assembly from SV and would like to replace the steering wheel with a more correct looking one. Paula at Finish Line says I need to determine which shaft I have before she can direct me to the right hub for a 6 hole wheel, can anybody help?

Scott...it's not splined...it's just a piece of threaded rod that's keyed. You'll need a boss with a 3/4" or 7/8" (I can't remember which) hole in it. You'll put the aluminum hub onto the end of the steering shaft to engage the keyway, then slide the boss down overtop of it, and then put the steering wheel on. The little aluminum piece will need to be drilled and tapped with the correct bolt pattern....then you just bolt everything together.

I didn't buy an adapter....I used a MotoLita steering wheel, but just made a hub out of 3.25" exhaust pipe....sanded it, primed, and painted it....I drilled and tapped the aluminum keyed piece and bolted the wheel straight to it. That's the easiest way.
