Excellent Paint/Body shope in Houston, Texas
Everyone in Houston needing Paint work,
I discovered after hours of searching and interviewing an excellent paint and body shop in Houston, Texas. They do a ton of Corvettes so they are accustomed to very picky customers and can easily handle a Cobra replica. The shop is Richey Collision Inc at 12221 Veterns Memorial, Houston, TX 77067. Business phone 281-893-6341. They were the only shop that did not tell me what they couldn't do, what they would not warrant, blah blah blah and they were lowest priced, in one case $650 bucks cheaper on a one panel job!!!!. I am a perfectionist and the worst person to sell something too but the best to buy from since I obtain perfection. No wonder my cars sell in hours. They matched the paint, the clear coat, the shade, smoothness to perfection and told me when it would be done, 3 days later and it was. If you need a Cobra painted, panel reworked I recommend them. I drove 50 miles and went by alot of paint and body shops to get to them and it was well worth it. If you dont beleive search the corvette forumns, that is how I found them. They have been in business since 1992. Shop is not all brick and shows there age, but their paint booths are top of the line along with their craftsman and the owners are extremely open and friendly. I witnessed about 4 Corvettes being painted while I was there. New Z06 to 1975. Dont hesitate to PM if you would like to discuss further. |
Good to Know
Right around the corner from the office. See them all the time. Had no idea. Have to keep this for future reference (hope I don't need it!).
Thanks for sharing. |
I interviewed a number of shops. I used to be scared to death of paint and body issues but now that I have found these guys I would have no issues buying a beater cobra and reworking the paint and making some $$$ off of it.
Trust me I have seen some bad paint jobs they delivered an incredible job which was more challenging then just a total repaint. |
Just giving a bump. Want to make sure Houston Cobra owners are aware of this guy. Finally the sun came out and still a perfect match, I am so glad I got this annoying paint issue resolved.
Even after looking for 30 minutes still never found even the smallest of fish eyes or sanding scratches, smooth as glass finish. |
Great to know. I'll save this for future reference!
