Hanlon Motor Sports is a good source. I would get the Tremac TKO II. You may need a spacer for a Tremac. Hanlon Can shorten the shaft for $100.00. http://www.hanlonmotorsports.com

Southern Automotive deals in Tremec trannies. They also build lots of cobra engines, so they should be able to advise you on any questions about using the tranny. Their web site is:

Tremec TKO

Hey Nick,
I have a Lone Star with a 429. I use a Lakewood Bellhousing and Tremec Tko. The best deal I found was for $1395. at Brothers Performance Wharehouse. I used a 1/2" spacer. I use a GM 11" disc and Ford Pressure plate and T/O Bearing, from Jegs. I also had to get a flywheel from Summit........works great. Hope this helps. If I can be of any more help just e-mail me.

The TKO II has the lower 5th gear. Goes from a .65 to a .83. Or some places list it as a . 85
