Brake Question
 
Have a cobra with a 84 corvette suspension(4 disc brakes)
My problem is I don't have the brakes I feel I should have.
Have insalled new rotors- pads and had cyl rebuild, installed a electric vacuum pump, running a high lifi cam and brakes have been bled. have a :confused:litte better brakes but still can't stop good enougn any suggestions Thank you

don't have the brakes? better brakes, you may know exactly what you mean but a better description might help like is the pedal spongy, hard, do they fade. or does the pedal feel fine and there just isn't stopping power.

This is a common problem A smaller dia brake master will give you more pressure at calipers than a larger dia master.you may be out of sync in your master/wheel caliper selection.Good Luck Larry Spillman

It seems that the most common problem is not having the correct pedal ratio.

The second most common problem is not using the right MC.

Go on the C4 (or is '84 a C5?) forums and find out the pads the guys that drive most like you use. Pads make a noticeable difference and is easier then pedal ratios. Try sets of pads then go to m/c's and pedal ratios if they're not improved.
