Fuel Cell Schooling Needed
I am trying to decide between a seamless polyethylene fuel tank or a metal aluminum or stainless tank. This is for street duty and trunk mounted to the chassis members. I need input on the pros and cons. of plastic versus the metal. I want this to be maintenance free and a fit and forget set-up.
How long can I expect the PE to last before porosity begins to allow vapor migration if ever? I guess metal tanks allow weld-in baffles were the PE tanks rely on the foam which require replacement every few years I hear. Who has the best PE tanks in the market ? Other considerations ? Thanks |
