Cost to Chrome Small Hardware Parts?
I was wondering if anyone knows how much it might cost to get the little hardware parts under the hood chromed. My hood brace, some bolts, Carb accelerator linkage, anything else I can remove this winter and get chromed. The finish is not what it used to be and I thought it would be really cool to clean up the hardware parts. Two things make it hard: I don't want to take everything apart and find out it will cost a fortune (yes, I'm lazy) and can you imagine if they guy said something like "Oh, all the little parts you gave us got lost!". What a hassle! Maybe a spray can of silver Rustoleum would be better. What else works to keep these parts looking good....?

You could have them cadmium plated (gold or silver), which is what they were originally when the car was built. The reason they look bad is do to improper storage ,comdensation. SPF #2773 Jerry

Good idea on the cadmium plate. I bought the car used from Florida and can see the salt air corrosion I'm trying to fix. Wonder what else has corrosion. I'm hoping to fix all of that this winter.
