suspension bump stops

was trying to figure out what to use for bump stops, for the stock at mcmaster carr that stuff is expensive, had wooden blocks and they look like crap, also trying to get the right rubber consistency, not too hard or too soft.

went down to walmart to look around for ideas and there it was--rubber mallet! cut to length and cut the handle off then drill for an anchor bolt and wallah, custom made bump stop, and looks like it belongs. $1.88 ea.

This is also a droop stop, but is different from a bump stop. A droop stop protects from damaging the shock and it's valve at full extension. A bump stop keeps from damaging parts on compression. A lot of manufacturers ignore one or both of the issues.

QA-1 highly recommends both.
