Power Steering Setup

Can someone post some pics of their power steering setup? I'm trying to see if I have/can make some room to add it to my car. Thanks!

Perhaps a better question would be does anybody have power steering.
Good luck!
Richard

Olthoff just installed it on my Superformance. I will try to take some pictures this afternoon.

Let me know if you need any other angles.

Thanks! What manufacture is this?

Call Dennis at Olthoff Racing and he can set you up with a system he put together at a reasonable price.

At speed, it's not as noticeable, but it sure makes the car more manageable while cruising around or parking.

JD can you elaborate on this first statement:

At speed, it's not as noticeable,

I will be getting my Cobra on June 13, and it too has an automatic transmission. I am just curious what you were trying to describe. Is there a discernable distinction between manual and automatic transmissions when travelling at speed?

Cheers, tin-man

I have PS on my Johnex. Love it. Easy to park and easy to turn when driving very slowly.

Thats a pretty broad question, to help you, tell us what engine you have, post a pic of your curent access. drive set up (alt only ???) to help point you to a pump for your application. Then tell us what type of front end is it based ? Custom ? Must II, BMW ?
Sorry but I dont know about the NAF car you show as having. My West Coast Cobra uses a GM saginaw pump and a Ford PS rack (T-Birds or Mustang II type). The big block cars benefit more from PS than the small block cars due to engine weight on the front axles when cruising around town. If you are running a SB with alumunum heads for example I would say PS is a complete NOT NEEDED.

She's already figured out through experience that she needs power steering. Pictures will help her figure out if it will fit, but the call to Dennis may be the biggest help.
