How much coolant does a FE push out to recovery tank?
How much coolant is pushed out of a FE cooling system by expansion when it gets up to operating temp? Or how much volume is required for an adaquet coolant recovery tank? I currently have a bicycle drink bottle and wire bracket for a recovery tank. I may need something a little larger if I ever find it.

A 1 quart tank should fine
Michael C Henry. Henry A 1 quart should be fine. It depends on how high your overfill tank is for a level. I keep mine a little under 1/2 way. Run at the track hard and have not had any coolant go into my over fill. Every motor and coolant system are different. Make sure you have about 1/2 of coolant/water in the overflow, go for a nice long road test and check the bottle when you stop. If you are looking for small tanks, Jegs, Summit, or any race shop should have one. I have a gatorade bottle and been using it for 12 years, have not filled it once. I have found a little in the bottom but it goes back into the coolant system when the motor cools off. Rick L.
