Fuel Cell or Tank ?

I just bought a E M car with a 427 sideoiler Tunnel port engine. Since I anticipate this thing consuming mass quantities of fuel....lol...I would like to do a proper job of installing a cell or tank. The guy I got it from mounted it inside the trunk area and now, there is no trunk. I want to mount it underneath the car and actualy use the filler cap to deliver the fuel to the tank. Am I crazy ? What has everyone else done ? Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Cliff
