Cost of head gasket replacement
Any one have an idea about how much it would cost to replace a head gasket? I have a ford 302 with gt40 heads in a backdraft. I have never paid anyone to work on it and would do it myself but my wife just provided me with a son a few weeks ago so... I am changing diapers not gaskets.

It's not really that hard to do. Unbolt the headers, remove valve covers, intake, rockers and pushrods, any accessories bolted to the heads, then unbolt the heads. Replace head gaskets, put it all back together. I've done it in about 6 hours.
