need to verify Canton oil pan - about to place order

Is this what I need for this engine? 351W stroked to 393 with Blue Thunder main girdle. I want a front sump pan.

pan = 15-680
pickup = 15-661

Thanks,
Pat

Canton pan

pbrown - I just received my new Canton pan yesterday. The number is 15-680. Not sure about the pick up tube number as mine hasn't arrived yet. This is a 7qt, front sump pan. It will fit your stroker (I'm going the 393 route as well), however, I don't know about it clearing your main girdle. I've no idea.
As I understand it, there is another Canton 7qt front sump 351 pan that is about $60 cheaper, but it lacks certain baffles inside the pan which are important for road racing oiling issues. I decided I'd pay up the extra $60 so as to not have oiling problems on the track.
I paid $240 for mine.
Enjoy the new stroker! By the way, which heads and intake combo are you using?

I'm using Edelbrock Performer RPM heads with 2.02 intakes. The intake manifold is, or will be, the Performer Air-Gap RPM with a Speed Demon 750 carb. The heads came complete but I had my machine shop tear them down and redo the valves, clean up the chambers, etc...

Thanks for the info on the pan. I just ordered it.

I just installed the same pan and pick-up on my 392, you have the right numbers. Don't know if it will work with the stud girdle.

Pat,

Did you get the pan yet? Did it fir over the stud girdle? I have the same issue/question.

Canton oil pans

Be sure to check the pan gasket rail straightness. Canton pans (as well as many others) aren't as straight as they can be, especially in the area just above the starter. Also, do yoursef a favor and get a Fel-Pro one piece rubber oil pan gasket. I'm not sure of part numbers, but Canton makes pans just for superformance chassis. They are a tad narrower so they fit better between the framerails(460,351) and the 427 pan has the front angled to clear the swaybar. I personally like the Milodon pans better, they have better trap door baffles, they clear the windage tray better, and don't leak as bad/often.Be sure to check your pickup to pan clearance(lump of clay in a baggy works), don't trust the manufacturer that it fits perfect. One quarter to three eigths" is ideal.
