Rear End Prep
I am about to start cleaning my rear end in preparation for painting it with POR-15. It is a new rear end that sat for some time. There is a peice bolted onto the bottom of it that appears to be a shipping bracket, but I am not sure. It has soft rubber bushings. There do not appear to be any mounting holes on this. Any ideas? Can I remove it? Any pictures of finished rear ends that I can take a look at?

That hanging thing is there to help disrupt harmonics on the stock Mustang driveshaft. You don't need it, shortening the DS to 10.5" pretty much gets rid of any harmonics. Use it a garage door stop.
