Fred,
What he's referring to is a valve, actually a port, in the master cylinder which allows it to recover fluid from the reservoir. It also ensures that there is no residual pressure on the slave. Later, |
David and Jim,
Thanks for that info on the return port. Now I understand more clearly the point that you are making. This would indeed initiate the problems that I am experiencing. So later today I'll examine this possibility further!! Will get back with the results. Fred**) |
Thanks David
Now.... why couldn't I say it like that.. **) **) :3DSMILE: :JEKYLHYDE

JIM YOU DID!!
Jim,
You did explain it that way! I just didn't understand it that way, until later when David brought it up again. I'm on my way to the shop to get a spring to try. Will then have a 20 mile ride home and should know a little more later. I will try to explain the results so that you both will understand me! Fred |
SO FAR SO GOOD
Jim and David,
Preliminary results seem favorable. Tomorrow I'm going to install the clutch pedal spring in a more favorable and permanent position. Need to make a couple of drill holes, one on the pedal and one on the flat plate on the top of the drivers well. Here's hoping...Thanks for coming to the aid of a rookie!! Fred:3DSMILE: |
Great Resource
This was a really old thread but there was a piece of gold with the NAPA part number for the slave cylinder, thanks guys! My slave cylinder is toast and I could not find a Wagner Lockheed, now I have a $35 part coming my way from NAPA...
