351W heater hookup

Okay so I've never noticed this before. Does the heater core attach to the two NPT ports on the water pump? Is there any plumbing attached at the intake manifold?

Thanks

The hot water out to the heater comes off the fitting on the intake manifold, just behind the thermostat. The upper water pump connection gets connected to the short 90 deg. hose exiting the thermostat housing. The lower water pump connection is the water return line from the heater. Depending on how you mount your alternator, you may have to use an elbow from the plumbing department so you don't kink the heater hose.

Here's a pic. The fitting in the manifold is just standard zinc plumbing that I quickly polished/buffed with a Dremel emmory polish wheel.

Pic of the heater. Its a Vintage Air unit. The heater valve is controled by a modified universal manual choke cable.
