Snaps for covers
Any of you guys SNAP gurus?????????
I installed the snaps, about 12 of them on my rear panel behind the seats on Friday night and a few of them don't seem to snap down on the receiver real well. I used the same tool on all of them and all pieces came from the same kit. Any ideas?:confused: |
Earl,
What type of snap did you use (Lift the Dot Snap),(Snap Cap Socket & Stud), or (Twist Fastener Turn Button) I used the Snap Cap Socket & Stud & found they did not want to hold very well but by squeezing them slightly out of round a bit they worked & held fine. |
WEST MARINE 144-Piece Canvas Snap Kit with Punch Tool | West Marine
This is the snap kit I used.................. |
That is the snap cap & should work fine other than once they do snap together they some time do not hold well until you make the cap out of round. The first time they might be hard to snap together. Take and put the stud in a vice wrap it so you do not destroy the threads and put the cap on with a rubber hammer once it does go together the next time will be a lot easier.
