Which cam are you using?
Would like to know which cam big block (429/460) owners are using, and the specs.
Just trying to get an idea of what everyone is using, and what seems to work best overall. Thanks |
Looking at the spec's on your car, talk to the major camgrinders, Crane, Comp, Crower, and possibly Ford Performance Solutions. But the major question you'll have to answer is, "What are you going to use the car for?" Street, Racing, etc. Might want to check in at cobraforum.com which is predominantly a FFR site. See what those folks use for big block applications.

I am using an Edelbrock Performer cam. The cam is a little mild, but this is my first build. I haven't put many miles on the engine yet, but it seems to work great. The cam is matched to the intake (Torker, uses the same cam), and I plan to put the matching aluminum heads on it soon.
