Seat adjuster

Has anyone found a decent scrap yard unit or should we just source something new..IE Enzo for one??

Was curious to know as I haven't got one yet and require one for inspection and registration.

Just ordered one from Summit Racing. about $33.00 delivered.

You are required to have one? Interesting.

Seat Adjuster

I went to the salvage and got one off of a late model Honda Accord. Cost was $10.00 for both seats.

Hi guys..thanks for the info...Yes Up here in B.C. it is a requirement that the seat must be adjustable to suit whoever is driving the car. Just as windshield wipers were a requirement.( as though they will ever see use)
Honda Accord?What year was it??
I will have to look at those...Ordering new is convenient but if I can find a cheap set in good shape its all the better. Did they look like they what should be in the car? If that makes sense...LOL

What i don't want is anything that will significantly raise the seat out of the car height wise....

I plan on using a pair from an MGB - low profile and doesn't look bad.

Whaler 03-01-2002 05:44 PM

Did you guys only do the drivers seat or did you do both side??
I was wondering if one is doen will the seats being noticably different in height.

I used two sets of the Summit Racing tracks just for the same height. Here in Texas you are required to have windshield wipers but there is NO windshield required! STUPIDITY AT IT's BEST!

Geez fellas....I just bolted the seats to the floor. Reasons: I don't have to adjust the drivers seat because no one else is going to drive it but me. Adjustable passenter seat? Why? So the person can recline? NO!

Save yourself some money and just bolt them to the floor.

Adjustable seats...

Whaler,

The Honda seat adjusters I was refering to is from an 82 or later Accord or Civic. They look just like the ones from Summit. I took mine out and bolted my seats to the frame just like Roscoe. I would only put them on the driver side if I were you. I had a thinner seat cushion made for the drivers side to compensate for the seat height. Wasted $50.00 because I soon removed the adjustable seat and put my thicker seat cushion back.
