Relocating inlet and outlet on Holley Fuel Pump

I have a Holley Mechanical Fuel pump on my 302 engine. The ad in Jegs indicated that the inlets and outlets can be relocated. I need to do so, but do not have the manual. Anybody have any quicky instructions on doing this?

Along the side of the pump are a couple of available inlets and outlets with screw in plugs. Swap the plugs to chanve.

Edelbrock has an adapter specifically for this pump so you can run either, or both lines in from the bottom. It's an aluminum plate that replaces the Holley pump bottom plate. Summit has 'em.

On 351W (same pump), had to run inlet in through bottom, and outlet with a 90 elbow from the side.

The holley mech pump on my old car had a distinct inlet and outlet that you couldn't just change by swapping fuel lines. I just removed the 10 allen-key bolts from the underside of the pump, then clocked the base to the angle I needed (you have about 5 or 6 positions available that don't foul the inlets/outlets against the motor)

CAREFULLY retighten the 10 bolts - the metal quality isn't all that great, and I've seen the threads strip in the upper section of the pump body..... OK, OK...I stripped one!!! %/ Just don't tell anybody:rolleyes:

It's really easy to adjust the angle of the inlet/outlet, just make sure there aren't any leaks before you drive the car again.

Oops, sorry about that. Craig is right. Working from memory about swapping plugs from Holley pump, and Edelbrock baseplate for the Holley pump. You do have to undo the screws, turn the pump valve body, then screw it back together. Unfortunately, this is still not enough for many Ford applications, and the Ede baseplate is required.

Jack, I'll have to find out about those E/Brock baseplates - I've never heard of them! I sent a copy of the alum head article on Friday - I've no idea how long it takes to get there though...
