Lokar Floor Mount Shifter ???

I was wondering if anyone has tried the lokar Floor Mount Shifter. I like the looks a lot better than the Mustang II "T" Handle I have, I think it gives a nice clean stick shift look. I am using a C4. Any thoughts??? THanks

Lokar makes good e-brake handles.

When I was considering the AT option, I liked the B&M Hammerhead shifter.

Hurst has some AT shifters that look good too.

ronzara, I have used several of the Lokar shifters. I order them with the 6" handle which makes for a nice looking shifter. If you use the round boot it looks like a 4 or 5 speed shifter. The shifter mounts right behind the bellhousing on the C4 so generally it is too far forward. I normally mount it at the tailshaft bolts. The instructions they give with the shifter won't cover this but you can use the mounts they give with a little modification. Most other shifters mount to the floor which makes them taller than needed. Since this one mounts to the trans it gives a clean look.

Ron,

I'm using a Lokar with a C-6. Still building, so no pics available. I was able to flip the handle to hint at the bent forward look of the original (dare I say that word here!) shifter.

It is a nice set-up with plenty of adjustability. It also rocks like a standard shift when you give it some revs - an added bonus I had not thought about.

Ron, I made this up fairly simple. It is on a C4 with a reverse lock out. I have an extra brkt that I made if you want it. I have pics somewhere of the brkt on the trans etc it you would like them let me know.

This is on one of my roadsters with A/C as you can see. I hope the picture works.

I'm looking for an alternative to the B&M Hammer / Megashifter hybrid I jury-rigged up for my AOD. I don't like the hump-mounted set-up.

The Lokar sounds like an option. Would anyone who has some pics of one on a trans and/or in a Cobra (tm) kindly email them to me? Sure would be appreciated. Thanks.

Tim
