Original Cobra Parts List
Hi
Just wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of a comprehensive parts list for an original 427 s/c. I'm building a Hi Tech but I dont have any paperwork with it so I'm flying blind a little. I'd also like any detailed photo's of suspension etc that anyone might have. Thanks in advance for your help guys cheers |
Ron,
Call Motorsports International in California. Phone number 619.390.9080 They have a HUGE catalog that has everything needed for a perfect restoration, or really close replica. I have bought MANY parts from them, great to deal with. Remember to post some pictures of your project in your photo gallery. Cheers, Bill Cook :3DSMILE: |
Thanks Bill I'll give them a call.
Any East Coast suppliers anyone knows about? Just thinking of shipping costs etc to the UK |
|
Thanks Dan
a bit closer to London I think.........:D |
|
Mike Kenney on this forum had a spreadsheet with all the parts that come on a HiTech. You might try contacting him.

Ron - You should contact Gerry Hawkridge at Hawk cars, he can supply the Kirkham 427SC parts list, which covers just about everything that you should need, and many of the Kirkham parts are probably superior to Hi-Tech.
To complete a Hi-Tech in the UK is not something that I would relish, there aren't to many experts on authentic 427 Cobra chassis and suspension. I think I have few snaps of Hi-Tech 427 suspension tucked away some where, I'll try and dig them out. Andy |

Thanks, I've contacted Gerry and he's given me some prices. Aparently he has helped out a few of American Speeds customers who are in the same position as me (ie waiting for £££'s of parts). Where in the UK are you? Did you build you HiTech here or was it done in the States? Joe I've emailed Mike and I'm just waiting for his reply. Thanks |
Ron,
Sorry for the wait, I've been away for a few days. I am located near Pickering in North Yorkshire. My car was completed by Hi-Tech in the States and shipped over here, although that wasn't the original plan. For your info, George Petrus of Accurate Machine Products in Torrance, California manufactured chassis parts for Hi-Tech, he may still have some. I will send you some pics I have of Hi-Tech 427 parts. Andy |
