Oil Thirsty 427 - Need Side Oiler ??

I am in the process of discussing a full engine build with Coast High Performance. I want a 351 W stroked to 427 and will be using it initally for once a month track use only. I will however be using it on the street eventually and would like something that is a good combination of both that will last and is very durable.
The engine builder is telling me I am going to need a side oiler or electric oiling system for the track. Is this true ?
I am not going to be racing it, but will for sure be driving it hard with the rev limiter set to 62-6500 and the builder says it will go to 7000 no problem.
Any thoughts ??

I don't have any personal info, but..

I would recommend that you do a search for Coast High Performance here at the club, see what others have to say.

About the oiling system, I know nothing, I see nothing!

I don't see any reason why you can't use a good pan such as a Canton road race pan with baffles on both sides, 7 or 8 quart. A good windage tray to keep the oil off the crank. If you wanted to be real safe you could install a good oil accumulator. If the oil pressure ever drops below a certain pressure the accumulator will supply oil until you can shut down. The road race pan would also be good for the street.

A good wet sump is fine. Get a diamond louvered windage tray, have it ftted to the crank / rods. And an oil pan with trap door baffling that holds at least 6 quarts. We run these to 7000+ all day long with out problems of any kind.. You really don't need a dry sump oiling system.
