Alignment Specs

I have my CMC Cobra ready to drive, but, I realized that I don't have any frontend alignment specs to start out with. The car has a Mustang II frontend. Where should I start? What specs are ya'll using? Caster? Camber? Toe-in? Thanks, David.

'76 - '78 Mustang II with the castor set as close to 4 deg as your suspension adjustment will allow. The alignment shops all have these spec's.

Alignment

Most shops won't have a clue. Your car is not a Tang with 5 in tires and weights 35oo lbs.

What is your setup; IPS; objectives street, track, etc.

Start with 4deg caster; front camber 3/8 deg street to about a 1.0 deg for performance. 1/16 to 1/32 front toe-in.

rear : .5 to .75 deg camber and 1/16 toe-in.

Search the FFR group they have a lot of discussions on this subject.

Frontend man was pretty helpful and knowlegable. Started with 4 degrees caster 0.3 degrees camber and 3/32 toein. Live rear axle was off about 1/8" but since rear arms are not adjustable, could not do anything about that. He said drive car a few weeks, get used to it, and come back, he may change specs. BIG improvement!! Drives very well to me. I guess 40 years frontend experience helps a little. Didn't even charge me a dime. Now if I can get this carb straightened out- Later, David.
