Autometer Cobra style fuel gage/sender question

I have the nice Cobra knockoff set from Autometer
I just got them in and wired the other day and my fuel gage reads opposite to what it should. Full when it should read empty.

I am using the common sender with 240-30 ohm nominal values
Empty and full. Autometer has a gage that works with these values. Their sender is PN 3262 having these ohmic values.

My fuel gage PN off the gage is 201975..3-2002

Is there a chance I have the wrong gage for the sender I am using....How do I correct this. Do I have to get the right gage if this is the case?

I have an e-mail into to both Tristate and Autometer. Hopefully we can get this straightened out.

Wondered if someone with a similar gage and sender knows their part number off the gage??

Thanks

Tim

Just a thought

There is a chance I have the wrong gage for my sender
I have a 240-33 ohm sender Full to Empty

There is also a gage at Autometer that will work with older ford style senders having resisitances of 10-70 ohms Full to Empty

Both have a ratio of about 7 to 1 between full and empty and the ford style sender is actually the exact opposite of what I have.

I wonder if I got this gage instead of what I needed.

Still waiting for a reply from dealer and Autometer....

I have PN 201 975 fuel gage..

New gage on it's way.
Apparently I did have the wrong one more suited for 89-93 mustang senders

My car doesn't use the mustang parts/tank.

Tristate comes thru once again

I believe the standard Auto Meter fuel gauge works on GM sender units after 1969.. Good to know there is an option. I believe Smith's gauges all show right full / left empty (as one would expect from a right hand drive car..
