Expansion Tank on 351w?
If I have a inline filler mounted just above the intake manifold so the antifreeze runs down the hose into the engine is it realy necessary to have an expansion tank to gravity feed the engine? I have one that leaks and am looking for a temporary fix until I can have the tank fixed!"Thanks in advance"

No an expansion tank is not needed. I know of many owners who do not use a tank. The only reason I installed an expansion tank was for looks. For several months before that I used the inline filler mounted just as you describe.
Good Luck

Just be aware that without an expansion tank you must run an overflow reservoir and a pressure cap that allows reverse flow.

All expansion tanks on cobras leak, it it doesn't yet, it will. I have removed better than a dozen of them off cobras, without replaceing them. Just get an overflow catch can and a 16 psi cap.
