Lighting Question

The amber lights on the front of my Cobra have a dual filament (high & low). These lights are used for turn signals and parking lights. However, after hooking everything up and testing, the left and right lights operate opposite from each other. The right light is bright when I use the turn signal, and dim when I use the parking lights. The left light is dim when I use the turn signal amd bright when I use the parking lights. Which is correct? Bright turn signal or bright parking light????

The turn signal is brighter. you have one light wired backwards, or a bulb not indexed correctly. Even though the bulbs have a pair of guides to index them correctly, you can cram them in and get the bulb backwards.

Ditto the above. Turn signal is bright, parking is dim.

These Lucas lights are relatively small, and benefit from a brighter bulb. wire-works.com offers a bright lite for these which show up a lot brighter in nighttime driving.

Thanks

Thanks for the info.

Jack, do you havea part # for the brighter bulbs?

Go to www.wire-works.com, bulbs and sockets. Bulb part numbers are 1077 (dual filament, you'll need 4. Front park and turn, rear tail and stop), and 1015 (single filament, you'll need 2. Rear turn). Substantial improvement.
