Fan Wiring Question
I purchased a temp switch for my electric fan. It screws into the block and goes to ground at 185 degrees. I have no wiring info on it. Should I wire it into the ground on my Fan motor or should I wire it into the ground on the Fan Relay? Relay kit was from Painless Wiring. Also, how can I wire an override switch into the circuit? Thanks, David.

I would have the temp switch ground the relay. Tie into this same circuit, run to a switch and ground the other side of the switch. This will give you the an on-off that will bypass the temp control switch. When the switch is off, the fan will still work by temp control.

Thanks guys, I went ahead and wired the temp switch in the relay ground and also installed a bypass switch on the dash. Works like a champ! Later, David.
