Any opinions on 1 7/8" primaries vs. the 1 3/4" for a 450HP 351W ?

I would go with the 1 3/4. I am running 660 hp 358ci with 1 3/4 to 7/8 steps as per the cup builder so 1 3/4 should be fine for 450hp. scott

I agree with Scott. The larger pipes will hurt mid and low end performance (as well as mileage) more than they would help the top end. Don't make the mistake of going too large on the primaries like a lot of guys do.
