How Useful Are Car Dollies?

I'll be building my Midstates in a single car garage this Winter and have the chance to buy car dollies at a pretty good price($90 for 2 pair). Are they usefull enough to justify the cost?

Thanks,

Yes, I've always had a pair and we use them at work also this way you can move the vehicle or jig around where you want it. Saves time and energy. But lock the suckers down or you'll find your Midstates in New Jersey!!! They roll pretty easy.

They're great when you're shuffling 15 cars around in a 10 car shop. They do roll easily though, after "locking" them in place, I often wrapped a shoprag around the castors just for the extra roll resistance.

Dick,
I use them for everything from moving otherwise imobile cars around to moving my four post lift from bay to bay.
Take care,
Bruce

Dollies are great! I have an 8,000 sq ft shop,,,, and nearly everything in it that is touching the ground is on wheels, or has some type of cart to move it around on!

Thanks for the replies! I'm going to Northern Tool today and check out the quality of the dollies they have on special this week for $40 per pair.
