Emergency/Parking Brake Cable
The emergency/parking brake cable for my Everett-Morrison kit is supposed to be a modified Mustang II cable. E-M says to shorten the cable and rearrange the cable guides.
I purchased a new cable, shortened it, and rearranged the guides. My problem is that now I can't seem to find a cable stop for the end of the cable. Aluminum cable stops are readily available, but they will not hold after repeated applications of the brake. Does anyone have a source for steel or stainless steel cable stops, and a method for properly crimping them to the end of a cable? |
I think you can find them at McMaster Carr, but crimping could get expensive. Many motorcycle shops can make cables, so should have the necessary parts and tools.

If you have a boat shop near you that deals whit sail boats. They should be able to fix you up.
