Front Tire Size Contemporary
I have a Contemporary with coil over front end. Currently I have 225X60X15 up front. Anyone know how big I can go without rubbing or clearance problems. I'm thinking 245X60X15...

You should have no trouble w/ 245's.

Rick Long's Contemporary had 265's on 81/2" rims up front (I think). If they rub, go down to a 45 section-height from 50's. I know a lot of people want the old "tall-tire" look on 15" rims. You make up some of the lost height by going out wider. I am positive there are people on this site who can give everything you need to know even in terms of reference-charts. Good luck.

Denny,
I have had 245x50x15's on the front of my Contemporary and I think there is room for the tires you stated. The only problem was that the 245's were a little too wide for the 7 1/2 wide front rims. They didn't look right. Perhaps the 60's would look better.

I have 235x60x15 T/A's. With the stock "A" arm location the tire was flush with the outer edge of the fender well. I did relocate the "A" arms in 3/8" to ty to improve the look and do think it does look better. But the 235's do fit without rubbing in the stock "A" arm location.

I have 275/45-17 in front and 315/35-17 in rear with no rubs in my garage :) One day I will finish the car and can tell you how it works on the street.
