Coast High Performance
Fellow Performance Enthusiasts
In recent weeks, I have received two emails regarding message board postings in which people have had problems with CHP products. I appreciate the concerns of those who have pointed this out to me. I have to admit that I don’t get to the message boards as much as I should. It has been the goal at CHP to provide quality products and quality service at a reasonable cost. We have been successful in achieving this goal to an outstanding degree. Although, after dealing with aftermarket performance components for 23 years, I have found that you can measure, inspect and re-machine every part for every engine and there still remains the possibility of having a problem. In some cases there are clear-cut answers and in others, on clear conclusion is ever found. Fortunately, the problem cases are a very small percentage of the whole. I have also learned that though providing superior products customer service you will gain a large market share. Thus producing more than other companies. In our case several hundreds of engines a year are produced and sent all over the country and around the world. It would be natural to here more comments about our company by virtue of shear numbers. It is human nature to focus on the bad things that happen. It makes the best news. In our defense, we have always tried to do right by our customers. We have paid to have motor shipped across the country. We have paid for labor to have repairs made by local shop. We have worked with customer until they were satisfied. But there should be a limit to our liability. Were big boys, we play hard, we break stuff. In conclusion, I would like to thank the many happy customers thought the performance world for your trusting CHP for your performance product needs. We thank you for your constructive comments and we will continue to address improvements in product and customer service issues. Sincerely, Chris Huff Coast High Performance |
welcome to CC, you will find this site is supported by Southern Automotive and
Gesford. Suggest you consider a banner ad and requesting a q&a section as other suppliers have done. |
Welcome..
Hello Chris... and welcome to our community.
Hope to see you active on some of the tech/engine threads.. ...always look forward to the input of another expert....especially one who does it professionally. ..don't be a stranger. |
Chris, welcome to our growing community. As in any other community, what goes around, comes around.
Both good, and bad news travels fast. Your best advertizing, no matter how much, or how little you spend in enthusiast publications is still word of mouth. If you're taking care of your present customers, they will tell us, and you have an established track record and more customers. Look at the posts concerning Southern Automotive as an example. Nothing but praise. Finishline, nothing but praise. Cobra builders spend $6k to $20k on an engine, and the folks here can afford it. But this also transcends to the Ford community as a whole, and that's a lot of engine buying folks. If you have the staff, and the time; would be nice to have an engine tech thread, "Ask CHP about engines". If not, perhaps be a regular Q&A engine tech resource. Anyway, thanks for posting and letting us know you're here, and committed to providing resources and support to your products and services. You care, and that's important to us. |
What were the numbers I re-call? A dis-satisfied customer will tell , on average, 11 people about his trouble. A satisfied customer will tell 5 or 6 about his good experience.
Thanks for touching base with the Club, I might tell 5 or 6 people about it,,,,,LOL. Ernie |
Welcome and I hope you intend on showing a presence on this website. It seems the 351 Stroker is becoming the Cobra engine of choice and we always need more info and answers to questions. Sure, we can call you for specific questions, but this site gets a lot of traffic and many will see answers to questions posed in here. Are FE strokers in Coast's future?
|
Thanks for the welcome
Thanks for the welcomes to the message board. FE strokers are currently available from CHP, but the cost is very high. later in 2003 we will introduce a more economical option. We expect to have rotating assemblies that will be priced from around $1800.00. We will post a release at that time.
Thanks again, Chris Huff Coast High Performance |
