Stacks and fuel management

I'm not familiar with the technical aspects of the stack system (I do know it looks awesome) so here goes:

Is a fuel management computer an absolute requirement or a luxury to make syncronising easier?

Having briefly looked over the stacks (Yeah, it looks Awsome!), it IS an EFI system, and would necessarily have to include its own EFI computer.

Stack type manifolds started out as purely mechanical fuel injection, and are still run that way on sprint cars and other race cars. Now you can get them with EFI so fuel management can be improved (with a very good tuner). Mechanical injection makes gobs of power, but isn't really a street type injection system, really more of a WOT only setup. EFI makes it more street friendly. There was a good thread on this topic a while back.

Plymouthcolt Go to TWM industries and look at the throttle bodys, than go to F.A.S.T. for your brain. You are looking at about 7500.00$ for this top of the line system. Rick Lake

If you are seriously looking into independant runner electronic fuel injection, I would put my dollars down with a company that has been around a while, such as Hillborn. Not to take anything away from the other guys, but some companies have been doing it longer, in more different professional racing classes, than their competition.
